Terms of Service

Last updated: July 31, 2026

These terms cover your use of Videoable, a service for uploading videos and images and sharing them through short links. By creating an account or uploading a file you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Your account

You need an account to upload. Give a real email address, keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live. Accounts are for one person or one organisation; do not resell access.

2. What you may upload

You keep full ownership of everything you upload. You may not upload:

  • anything illegal where you are or where we operate;
  • sexual content involving minors, in any form. We report it to the authorities and terminate the account immediately and permanently;
  • material you do not hold the rights to, including music, film and stock footage;
  • content that harasses, threatens or doxxes someone;
  • malware, phishing pages or anything designed to deceive the person who opens the link;
  • content that exists only to burn storage or bandwidth, such as automated bulk mirroring.

We may remove content that breaks these rules and suspend or close the account behind it. Where we can, we will tell you why.

3. Rights you give us

To run the service we need a limited licence to store your files, convert them into other resolutions and formats, generate thumbnails and previews, and serve them to whoever opens your link. That licence exists only so we can show your media to the people you share it with, and it ends when you delete the file or your account.

We do not sell your media, train models on it, or use it in our marketing.

4. Storage, limits and retention

Each plan has a storage allowance, a maximum file size and a maximum video length. The current numbers are listed on the pricing page and are enforced at upload time.

Free accounts keep uploads for 90 days from the upload date, after which the file and its link are removed. Paid plans keep media until you delete it or close the account. Videoable is a sharing service, not a backup service — keep your own copy of anything you care about.

5. Copyright and DMCA

If something on Videoable infringes your copyright, email dmca@videoable.app with:

  • the full short link or links you are reporting;
  • a description of the work you own and proof you own it;
  • your name, address and contact details;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and that the information in the notice is accurate.

We remove valid claims quickly and tell the uploader, who may send a counter-notice. Accounts with repeated infringements are closed.

6. Payment, cancellation and refunds

Paid plans bill monthly in advance through Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and may exclude local tax. If a payment fails we will retry and email you before the plan drops back to Free.

You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancelling stops future charges and your plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not refund part-months automatically, but if you were charged for something you did not use, email us and we will sort it out.

If you downgrade or cancel while storing more than the free allowance, existing links keep working and new uploads are blocked until usage fits the plan.

7. Deleting your content and your account

Deleting a file removes the original, every generated rendition and its thumbnail from our storage, and the short link stops working straight away. Deleting your account does the same for everything you have ever uploaded, and removes your profile. This cannot be undone.

Copies may sit in encrypted backups for a short period before they are rotated out, and we keep the minimum billing records the law requires.

8. Availability and liability

We work hard to keep Videoable fast and online, but the service is provided as is, without warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change or retire features.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost data or indirect damages.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes are announced by email or in the app before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Continuing to use Videoable after a change means you accept it.
